Johanna Beate Stumpf is an experienced flash fiction and short story writer with a master’s degree in mathematics and a PhD in theoretical computer science. Consequently, feminism and sci-fi are two of the topics she writes about the most.

Since earning an honorable mention in the 4th Quarter Writer’s of the Future Award 2018, Johanna’s work has been published in magazines like Spark, Infinite Worlds and AHOY Comics, as well as several anthologies, including the sixth and seventh anthology of the Oslo Writers League. Her writing has been described as weird, clever and funny. Examples of Johanna’s literary endeavors can be found among her publications.

As a German millennial living, working and volunteering in Norway, Johanna has been contributing to the local literary community. She has been a member of the Oslo Writers League since 2018, a board member since 2019 and the chairperson of the organization since 2022.
